    Hello,

I am back with another unknown plant....We receive this plant every year in summer baskets from a grower..who when asked what type of plant it is, doens't know.

Customers always want it for pot, but we are not sure what to ask the growers for! If anyone can help, thanks.

I would be curious to know what the leaves smell like. Looks like Lavandula, but also looks like Helichrysum italicum

I looked up Helichrysum italicum, and the pics/descriptions all match.

    I crushed the leaf

certainly not Lavender, the closest scent I can compare it to is Chrysanthemum.

Does that smell match the type of Helichrysum?

    Thanks.

Helichrysum italicum is called curry plant (not to be confused with Murraya koenigii). It has a strong fragrance something like curry--bitter smelling, like something that would keep moths away.
