One of "my" nurseries has just released its tree catalogue for 2013 and does show this particular Acer palmatum. Doing some web browsing I see almost nothing. By chance have you heard or seen anything re this tree?

Sorry to bump my own post but I am seeing this advertised in a few on-line catalogues but with no description ie too new to evaluate! Have any of you heard more?

I acquired one in 2014. It sustained sever damage (in a protected location) in the worst winter that year, but appeared to recover ok last summer. Personally, I have not noticed any notable attribute in its foliage colours spring, summer or fall; a disappointment. I must admit I only have it for two years, and not sure how sensitive is its foliage colour to the level of light exposure.

Thanks for the reply garcan. I was leaning towards this selection but I will now consider other options.

If you are looking for yellow leaved trees you might find Acer 'Summer Gold' and A. 'Jordan' interesting.
