    Is this a type of Wild Cherry tree?

    Yes, they are semi-firm on the outside - very dark red with a soft velvety feel. Reminds me of Holly.

    Is this a type of Wild Cherry tree?

    Each fruit has between 2 and 5 yellow seeds/stones inside. The insides are loose, watery, not like an apple or crab apple.
