    I wonder if this could be phlebia radiata that has dried back making the color darker, The untitled-1 image certainly has the form of phlebia radiata

    cross section of a stinkhorn egg

    Hi Drugan the eggs themselfs dont actualy smell, they have a fishy kind of taste & its only when they grow out from the egg that the smell arrives.
