    I became an avid gardener 8 years ago after moving from Vancouver to a protected waterfront property (Zone 9(b?)microclimate) on Salt Spring Island, one of the Gulf Islands off Vancouver. Our coldest temp on our property has been -5 C.

    Watercolour and acrylic painting and, of course, gardening outdoors.
