Now that I reread the photo forum system, I think this is the spot for this.

Just a few weeks ago, I was in Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park between Cave Junction, Oregon, and Crescent City, California.

This tree was on a trail that leads to Fern Falls, just a little bit west of Stout Grove. If you head that way, it's off Howland Hill Road off Hy. 199.

    The tree is nifty.

They're all nifty. Lofty, too. Have you looked at Forest Giants of the Pacific Coast by Robert Van Pelt?

You had to stand there to hold it up and stop it falling over? Or were you trying to push it over?

    :-)

No... I'm getting older. When I hike, I lean on the trees and let them keep me from falling over : - )

Actually, it provides a way to see how wide the furrows in the bark are. The size of these redwoods is not very obvious unless there is a person in the image.

Very impressive!! Those giants will always be awe inspiring.

The "iSaw" logo doesn't have any connections with a chainsaw, I hope! (Just kidding)

SilkyUSA - or "Silky" - primarily makes hand saws and pole saws; a few craft saws.

Professional arborists are one of their main customer groups.

The T shirts were a promotional item this year.

You can find them online, and order from their site. Their saws are among the finest.
