Lavender

    I just pulled these off the lavender plant.
    Are these the seeds? They don't look like photos of lavender seeds I see on the web.
    Assuming they are, can I start these growing indoors over the winter and then plant them in the spring?

    These look like the unripe seed pods. If you want seeds, the pods should be allowed to ripen until they start to split. I don't know if they will ripen off the plant.

    It seems, that these pods are already changing their color, so there is still hope, that their seeds are mature enough to be viable, at least after a month or so. Just don't separate seeds from the pod, until pods are completely dried.

    Oh, I thought the open ones on the plant didn't have the actual seed part (either fallen to the ground or eaten by birds)
    Here's a photo of some of the dried out ones. Are there seeds here?

    There are some seeds, that don't look very viable, but mostly debris. It looks like these pods have already released their seeds, before they were collected.
