This is a new one for me. How long does the red stay? How big does the tree get? I love trees that have awesome spring color.

the tree seems to be a meduim to small somewhat bush type tree. The one I have is about 5' tall, I doublt it grew more than a few inches from last year to this year. iI have added a photo of the whole tree, it is not fully leafed out.

I came across this for sale recently, did a quick search which came up was this thread that hadn't been updated for 11 years, so I thought I'd buy one to have a look, it wasn't expensive.
I don't know anything about it other than what's written above, seems nice though.

Glad to see another old thread started up again N. A very healthy Red Blush, from Stephen Rolph perhaps???

A quick picture while walking around the garden, it's been questioned over on FB as to whether this is actually Red Blush and I'm afraid I am tending to agree with them, oh well see what it looks like next year I suppose.

The implications are that RB is actually a Shirasawanum, which mine doesn't appear to be????!
