11th April 2021 and the continuing photo diary of my Alpenweis. I do like the small leaves on this one and am looking forward to it becoming a more established tree in my collection.

8th May 2021 and my Alpenweiss is opening up those lovely tiny variegated leaves at last. I think it waited for all the frosts to go and I don't blame it one bit.

Lovely D, mine didn't make it through the Winter sadly, so I will enjoy yours from afar.

It happens D. Had the same problem with Higasayama. Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that a particular maple just won't do well in your location.

I clearly understand D. Found 2 so far that didn't make it.

I worded that wrong D. I've found two other maples cultivars that didn't make it over the winter.
