It was on the forecast, but in my area, snow is often on the forecast but doesn't occur. So I have learned to ignore snow in the forecast this late in the year.

I was more concerned with the sub freezing night temperatures that start tonight and will occur nightly until the weekend. So this is just something extra.

Well, here, at 9:30, I didn't have a look at the thermometer, but it felt very warm, like before a summer storm, but the sky was blue.

This afternoon, it was 21°C. Now (18:30 here), it's a bit colder, and rather dark, like before a rain shower. We are supposed to have some rain tomorrow, then dry, mostly sunny weather from Thursday on, but a bit colder (18°C).

I just hate Spring night time frosts, but it seems they are here for everyone more and more. Time for us all to adapt. Fingers crossed for your trees.

That is the best temperature for living and for our trees IMO. I can see why all your maples are looking so advanced Alain.

My friends say it's not the norm. I'm use to to it on the east coast where I live. We aren't safe until mid may.

Its a record late snow for the Pacific Northwest. Welcome by the way. If I was a bit closer to Portland, I'd offer to meet up.

    Did you visit the nurseries?

Over on the coast we've had 2"/50mm rain the past 2 days but lows nowhere near snow producing, a few hail episodes.

That would have been pretty cool. Maybe next time I could meet up with you. I did a little bit of traveling around and still have a lot to do.

I didn't get anything this time from them. I've been trying to hold off a bit because I might be moving this year or next.

How was Crispin's nursery? I've been wanting to head down there to check it out. He has a lot of interesting cultivars.

It was nice and small. Lots of interesting evaluation plants. He has an eye for interesting things. If he give me permission I will post some of the stuff that caught my attention.

In Iowa a bit of snow again yesterday. No accumulation but 5th day I have seen snow in April this year and have 4 more sub-freezing nights this week.
Fortunately no early warm up so everything still waiting to leaf out

Such a blessing Keith, here in Southern England we get a really warm spell every March for the past few years, then April hard frosts.
So glad for your clever trees that they are still wrapped up in their buds.

Currently in Bellingham WA USA waiting for a flight to Vegas. They are de icing the plane and when I left home in New Westminster BC Canada there was ice on my truck. We had tons of hail yesterday and all forms of weather the day before. Just wild.

Hope you managed to shake the snow off the bent double griseum. Can't believe the weather you are having there in Washington. It's meant to be Spring for goodness sake!!!!!!
