I have both male and female kiwi vines which are about 6 yrs old and the female has been giving us bountiful harvests for 4 years now. However, only the female vine has been leaking sap all over some nodes and tips. The points where the leaks are, are now forming orange gelatinous mass that sometimes extend further into the stems. Are the points of leaks developing slime molds? Are the profuse leaking and the "slime molds" going to kill my female vines? Please advice what to do. Many thanks in advance.
I am attaching some photos of the said kiwileaks.

Though I am still not seeing any fuzzy buds forming as yet in my female kiwi, I am still keeping my fingers crossed it will be fine. My male kiwi already have spring leaves coming out.

all the kiwi vines in my neighborhood are looking very unhealthy this spring.
The extended wet weather this season definitely doesn't help.
I'm also starting to suspect whether the kiwi PSA bacterial diseases has made it into our region and is devastating the vines.
