31st May 2021 and a few people have been talking about Jordan these last few days, so I thought I would add a photo of mine this morning.

My new Jordan, with an interesting mixture of fresh greens and lemon yellows:

That's how the perfect Jordan should look. Fingers crossed that the 30°C heat doesn't hit it.

Thanks D, it's not one of the highly sought-after rare varieties, but I'm really excited to have it home. It's looking a tiny bit crispy on top but I think that's to be expected with the weather we've been having -- from my understanding it's relatively sun-tolerant (and gets some afternoon shade where I have it) so hopefully it will tough this warm spot through?

16th June 2021 and the sun shine through my Jordan leaves was too much to ignore and not take a photo from the underside.

Moved my Jordan to a slightly more protected spot as the top leaves were getting a little crispy in the recent heat. Seems quite happy now:

1st July 2021 is usually quite a difficult time for my Jordan due to the heat, but this year no such problems as it's surprisingly cool and wet.

Glad you posted the whole tree picture D, I've been trying to decide what one is growing outside my Dr's surgery, I'm now certain it's Jordan.

Jordan is mostly holding up in the heat. A bit of scorching on the top leaves, but it seems quite happy overall:

How funny, when we're not geographically that far apart that weather would really affect them so much. I look forward to seeing photos of your when it starts to wake up, D!

Even further ahead in Somerset, must admit I'm cheating somewhat as this is it's first day out of the greenhouse.

Once again, very interesting, thanks for posting.

BTW, in one of the schools where I worked, the Italian teacher's name was "Giordano". She was second-generation French, and a very nice woman. At first, since I taught English, I thought that "Giordano" meant something like "Gardener". But I know know that "Jardin" is "Giardino", not "Giordano"... ;-)
