About two months ago I did some light pruning of my Sensu and instead of discarding the clippings, I got heel cuttings from them and simply stuck them in the ground (very gravelly and sandy, but moist because it’s between the rocks). Most of them still have leaves on them. Quite exciting! And I tried my luck with grafting multiple times with zero success. Fingers crossed they will survive the winter. I will not touch them until I see signs of growth in the spring.

And, I forgot to mention, no rooting hormones, no watering, nothing. I am cautiously optimistic.
