My Sango kaku coral bark Japanese maple has some leaves that are yellowing and some even drying up. It is in a small nursery pot but does get frequent watering. What could be causing the leaves to fall off and change colour at this time?

Hi Lisa, this is just heat stress, nothing to worry about IMO. That black pot though will be absorbing a lot of heat. It's not just the top that needs some shelter from the sun. So consider a bit of protection for this also.

Ok thanks. I’m gonna slip pot it soon as it dries out rather quickly
