7th October 2020 and my maples are either turning to Autumn colours, or have new Spring like growth or the leaves are just ready to drop. Such a strange year.
But my Crimson Queen is showing how it should be at this time of the year.

9th November 2020 and although my photo is not the sharpest due to bad light conditions, it shows how my Crimson Queen is still giving.

31st March 2021 and my Crimson Queen is underway at last, it can be a little tardy, but as it gives an amazing all season show, I can forgive it wanting a little more sleep.

Actually I should say, I'm hoping for some better autumn colour from it this year as I've removed the potato vine that was starting to shade it too much, time will tell.

24th May 2021 and sometimes maple dissectum leaves look quite special after a lot of rain. I hope you agree.

My not-so-Crimson Queen. Weirdly, it's in a fairly sunny spot - it just wants to be green this year.

Old leaves going green, which makes a nice backdrop for that red new growth:

More new growth at the start of August. I think I need to try a sunnier spot next year and see if I can get that red colouring to stick.

I notice I've been photographing this one a lot more recently. I think it's the way the new growth burns red in the sun that is just so eyecatching:
