found on wild grape

    Amazing colour! I am torn between this looking more like Slime Flux (most likely) ... or due to the consistent colour, wondering if it could be the start of one of the Gymnosporangium rust fungi that has telia bursting out from under the bark. But it really must be the former I think.

    If you Google orange "slime flux" the images show examples on grape vines exactly like the photos above.

    I agree J, 'Slime flux', I've seen it on clematis in this country, which then usually wilts and dies.
