Exactly D all leafing out nicely but obviously some of the colours are weak at present need some sun and fresh air and watering on their backs to bring them out more, but happy with them all for now.

Good news indeed M. Time to now plan for Spring 2022 and onwards I feel. The scientists are saying this type of weather may be the normal now at this time of the year.

Good evening M, they are all wonderful, but can I vote your Summer gold as maple of the day. This cultivar IMO was such a winner in my garden last year and looking at yours tonight, I can see it might be a winner for you in 2021.
Have a good weekend yourself M.

"Unidentified" seedling, probably from 'dissectum' seeds gathered from street plantation, July and October 2020, and today :

Another "unidentified" : it seems I never can find the right moment to take a photo, too much sun, too much wind, bad focus... But it has nice light orange/peach-like colours in spring, then takes a green colour. The second photo looks more like the true colours :

I thought I would post a very bright Orange Dream in my garden this morning. This is why this cultivar is so very popular.

I recognise some that you had from me because of the labels. That makes me very happy ;-)

All need more time in the sun before i will post more pictures of everything once they are all out , but one that's really catching my eye at present is the 'Mikawa nishiki ' this will be a very pretty tree when fully coloured out , its just starting nicely so added some pics for you. That Dragons fire looks nice as well.

Good afternoon M, a quick question, how much do you think this is going to be like Mikazuki?

No totally different D , added a pic of my Mikazuki hopefully the Mikawa will keep that lovley strong green/lime centre line with the red edging where the Mikazuki develops into the strong magenta pink colour with more defined dark veining in the leaf ,plus it also has the more slender leaf length. Will update later when it develops more.

The maple I’m most looking forward to seeing take that next step.

Tsuma Gaki. You can see the red finger nails already.

Some of you will remember me buying this last summer, labelled as Hime Shojo. It clearly wasn’t due to the branch structure and the hint of reticulation in the leaves. It was late in the summer so was hard to identify.

This will be an interesting one to observe over the next few weeks and a mystery may be uncovered;-)

I settled on Gold reticulated but I may well be proved wrong. Any feedback is, as always greatly appreciated.
