Identification: Mushroom identification

Found this mushroom out in the woods in Tennessee, growing on some hardwood logs. Has a brown/ light brown cap, white gills that go down the stem if the mushroom has one. It has white flesh and a white spore print. I was thinking it was a type of oyster mushroom, but I'm not sure. Would like some opinions/confirmation on what it is.

 

Hi Dalton, appears to be in Pleurotus, the main genus of oyster mushrooms. Species can depend on the kind of hardwood and what Pleurotus species are in your area.

 

Thanks for the input! I thought it might be a species of oyster based on the description I found online. I figured it doesn't hurt to ask somehow are more experienced then me.
