Appreciation: Leocarpus fragilis slime mold

    This was on the end of a broken log in woodland near me. I believe it to be Leocarpus fragilis slime mold. I have posted it on out and about but wanted to give it it's own thread.

    Good Morning/Evening @Acerholic!
    Great find! This is Ascocoryne sarcoides, in the "polyphyletic" group of fungi called jellies. Lovely colour.

    Thankyou J for the ID. Yes the colouring drew me towards it. My local woodland is throwing up a lot of fungi interest atm. Great fun !!
