Gorgeous colours. Not easy to get from an Aureum so all credit to you. Thanks for showing us what is possible!

@wind-borne that's amazing G, mine is turning brown by the day. Those colours just jump from the screen on my computer. Wonderful !!

I think a couple of ROEBUK's pics show what is possible, mine is bound to crash and burn before long...

@wind-borne, I agree M ROEBUK has a beauty also. I'm not disappointed with mine tbh, I've had a good show all Summer.

Yours may well crash and burn in a few days G, but for now 'WOW' !!

    I clearly understand @Luke’s Maples

A few of my maple are still putting out new growth. 'Shi shi yatsubusa' and 'Summer Gold' are pictured.

Regrowth after the Summer heat wave in Southern California.

Love the miniature leaves this tree gives off. Can't wait for it to grow into a larger tree.

Can you believe all this new growth atm, your Summer Gold looks like it's Spring.
This is such a cheerful maple, possibly the best of 2020 !!!!?

Your Shi -shi has had an amazing spurt, its September what is going on, Lol.
    Happy photos indeed though!!

Good morning, so very very dry here today. Took these few and as can be seen no sign of September dew. My personal favourite is Ruby Star. So bright and so much new growth!!!

    Snooze you lose.
Had been waiting for a neighbors circinatum to peak a little more when my morning walks were interrupted for a week by the smoke.
Already lost a lot of leaves by now.

Actually, only a couple little pockets of clean air along the coast, the rest of state not so good.

@wind-borne just looked at the colour coding. The hazard areas are still quite widespread. Bet your thankful of being at the coast. Difficult times !!

Good evening D. Everything is going well here. I don't know what's going on but I have a few that seem to be confused, lol.

Is that really an Acer circinatum?!? In all the years I lived on the mainland of BC, I've never seen one turn so red. Is it a special cultivar? It's gorgeous!

I'm pretty sure it's a circinatum, does have some ruby colored new leaves after the first intense green flush.
Don't know if it's a cultivar, the residents are in their 80's and I'm not sure if they planted all the maples
Have not had good luck around here asking people about cultivars.
The first pictures in this post are same tree in June.
    Cheering ourselves up with Maples

This house has at least a dozen maples that are much further along in terms of color than most in the neighborhood.

Other than 'Aureum' and 'Seiryu' mine are still enjoying summer. LOL

Just a general forum comment, in addition to leave focused photos I do really enjoy seeing whole tree photos from contributors..
