Hi D. Of course you can. I got it from Acers Direct. Bit of a strange one actually.. I got a phone call from the guy who runs it. He operates under a few different names. Leaf Creative, Howle Hill Nurseries, and Acers Direct. Anyway, he called to say he’d grown some rarer varieties and wondered if I was interested. Lol. ‘H**l yeah’ was my reply.

Some things seem to be coping well..some things are not so good..

My Emerald lace has horizontal new growth of 65cm on one main branch and 30cm the other side.

The rather leggy Pheonix in the 6th photo, came into my garden in June with very sparse leafing in the middle and lower sections but it’s now leafing out nicely in these areas.

Some new summer growth on Tsuma Gaki in the last photo

Well after last evenings great show from @Luke and @dicky5ash, I thought I had better try harder this morning. Cobwebs now starting to appear, (see my Ariaki Nomura). Hope it's the last day of the intense heat. I cannot believe I still have some putting out new growth, when a few others the leaves are curling ready to drop.

Nice photos D. One of my Aconitifolium’s that gets sun to midday has a few crispy leaves and my red Pygmy in full sun is struggling at the top Of the canopy

@dicky5ash, thanks R. So many are struggling, think this weather is going to break in a few hours, they need some rain on the leaves now. All the misting I'm doing just evaporates so quickly atm, even doing it when it is very near dark.
    Fingers crossed for this evening......

    Beautiful photos as usual D

I don't have a 'Beni Hime', but I have at least one seedling that also has a rounded end on the central lobe. It's maybe from a "palmatum mix" from the UBC seed exchange, I have so many now, it's impossible to label them all.

And anyway, what's the use labelling them Acer palmatum 'Mix' ?... ;°D

@AlainK. Thankyou Alain, very kind. Yes so many seedlings and like so many of us nowhere to put them, Emery excluded of course Lol. Does the envy show !!! Just love his place so much, watched the video a few times now.
I hope you do have a Beni Hime or something very similar, it is a wonderful little tree.
Try and keep cool and hopefully rain comes soon for you.

Yes, YEs, YES ! Let's exclude him ! And you too with your 150 cultivars !

Huh, huh... Sorry, that's not even "French humour" if it ever existed.

Too much heat for too long I guess.

I am truly amazed at how good your maples look in your posts. We have had a very hot and dry summer and a lot of mine are looking extremely stressed. I went out this morning to test drive my new Samsung Galaxy 8 camera to record the carnage. Thankfully, we had a downpour last night although Harry and Boris weren't too happy about it.
