First post - Question to identity ornamental grass

    North Vancouver
    New owner of home on the North Shore. Removed very tall grass from from front beds last fall with deep root system. Wish to keep it on sides of property if not overly invasive. Mature grass is about 12 feet tall. It has been identified as either Japanese silver grass or the dreaded Johnson grass. First picture below from this month and two others from last fall. Welcome your thoughts on correct identification. Thank you.

    @NorthShoregardener, Miscanthus x giganteus? It is looking about 8ft tall hence my choice.

    Btw your photo 3, if that is from your house at sunset then WOW !!! 'Love it'. Who wouldn't.
