Low spreading plant, small flowers, long white tap root

    Location:
    South Pender Island, BC
    This plant loves the spaces between the stones in my sidewalk. Location is the BC Southern Gulf Islands.
    I am not sure how to describe the leaves so I have attached 2 pictures. I pulled it before I saw the colour of the flowers since it has such a long tap root.

    Looks like Spergularia of some kind.

    Thanks you. I have looked up Spergularia in the BC Gulf Islands and it looks a lot like Spergularia rubra, There are others that it could be as well.
