I took some pics with a flash to highlight the bark. Looks mostly pretty yellow. Not a lot of dieback but there are a couple of branches that have stopped dead in their tracks.

@dangerine49, Hi J, that looks like Bi-hoo, the 7 lobed finely toothed leaves and yellow branching gives it away. I think you have your name!!!

What about those photos of @Atapi Tsuma gaki, I keep going back for another look. Think he might win photo of the day !!! I see you were equally impressed.

    Whoo-hoo, a Bi-hoo!!

    Yeah that Tsuma is outstanding.

Took some early morning shots today, but not up for any awards.

@dangerine49 and @Atapi, sunshine and showers on your maples, it doesn't get much better than that. 'Thankyou both'.

I agreed with Acerholic, it looks like Bihoo, too. What's a deal that you got there. Normally I dont see them selling at local nurseries around here except mail order.

Dangerine, You are only a few hundreds miles from where I am but it seems like you are still in the mid-spring up there with those leaves are proceeding to full bloom while mine down here have passed that stage couple weeks ago. I noticed that mine is about two weeks behind this year cause the Peonies are normally blooming around Mother's day but they didn't until this weekend.
Of course I take the cool temp at any time but hopefully i don't have to pay for it with 90 deg summer. The weather is calling for upper 70s to 80s from here on :))).
This is my other Peaches & Cream from last year. Let it goes earlier this year.

Yeah, it didn't look anything special since the leaves had turned when I bought it. But when I saw the Higasayama tag I jumped at it. I went back the next spring about the mis-labeling and they blamed it on the supplier but gave me a 50% discount on another tree. This nursery always seems to get a couple of new varieties every year. I bought a Waterfall, Ruslyn, Shin Deshojo, Ryusen, and my latest Baldsmith there. I've never seen any of those at any other nursery around here. Actually I met the owner of this nursery when he was looking to buy a VW Atlas for his wife. Unfortunately, she wanted a Lexus. I was hoping to score another discount if he had bought a car from me!

Yeah, it's been pretty cool so far here. Only a couple of warm days so far. My peonies aren't close to blooming yet.

Picture of one of mine from the beginning of June 2015 , not as colourful as yours plus it was in a pot but still different from the normal leaf pattern you would expect to see at this time in the season , and never saw that colour again.

Still cool here, our highs have been in the 50's all week.
Rain steady this month, over 5.5" but we are moving into a dry period with 60's predicted starting tomorrow.
Not enough rain overnight to wash the tree pollen from the leaves.
'Green Cascade' vibrant in the sun.

Wow Roebuk, yours even more red color. I have been thinking about this today what caused it comes up this new color and maintain it a bit longer than normal. Is it the cool weather/temp along with more day light?. I know we don't water or fertilize it any different than other years, at least I am not and it is in the ground at the same spot for the last 3-4 yrs.
This is my second smaller Tsuma on the side of the house getting full sun, less red but still showing different color than any past years.

Mine are really changing colour this morning, my new Baby ghost is starting to show some change to its leaf type. I also took 2 of Peve Multicolour, and Corallinum before they melt in the Summer heat.

First rain here in a month, so took these. And my Cornus Kousa China Girl, as I was pleased how it looked with rain drops.

Here's a different tsuma gaki from to day in full shade until late evening, then it just gets the setting suns last few rays, but as you can see on the 2nd picture a few of the leaves which were green last week are now starting with a more pronounced a yellow trait.

@monicasanchez, Hi Monica, you are growing in difficult conditions, but your Seyriu is looking great. Looks like you are giving it lots of shade. I love the greens, especially the anticipation of wonderful Autumn colour they will give.

Well for many of us the wind was really blowing today, so I went to take some pictures of a maple the cheers me up under those circumstances, with its very stiff branches it doesn't move around much. Furthermore it finds its own form with little or no pruning. A. palmatum 'Shishigashira', the Lion's Mane Maple as the Americans say.

This one was planted in 2004, I have no record of the last pot size but presumably at least 12l. It's in a difficult spot as it is very exposed, and originally took full sun through most of the day. Now the other trees have grown up, and it does get some shade, but still full on wind.
