Thanks Acerholic. I know how you feel about not being available and I'm very thankful for this site. It helps a lot with my maple addiction, lol.

Haha, the lawns been the subject of long discussions with my wife.
We’ve agreed that I can add borders, I’m told I don’t give up until I get my way, so I have permission to make space for more maple planting.

I'm extremely envious of your lawn. People dont realise how much work is involved in keeping it in good condition. You have soooooo much space.

It does take a lot of work and time which could be spent tending my Maples. By the end of this weekend there will be borders for maples around the perimeter.
It’s not that big, just the illusion from a photo

I've had Coral Magic for 2 years now and have no complaints so far. I placed an order for a Coral Pink in Feb and received another Coral Magic. So now I have 2.

Burgundy Lace, this one is a monster. I nearly lost it about 5 years ago, luckily removed the diseased wood before it got to the main trunk, some major limbs were removed.
    I reckon it’s around 18-0 tall

You would never know your Burgandy Lace ever had problems. Looks like the star of your garden now. What a great contrast against the Cherry.

It does look like a cherry, it’s actually Exochorda x macrantha The Bride and Cercis Avondale is also in bloom.

I am sure the Coral Pink I’ve shown was purchased as a graft from Barthelemys.

Oh to be nearer the coast your Spring comes so early and not too many frost problems. The Exochorda x macharantha is stunning, that's a favourite photo for my wife.

If I could reccomend a red maple for a persons first one that gives a lovely deep red all season long from Spring it would be Skeeters Broom.
It's not a collectors corner cultivar but it does not dissapoint at all.
Took this photo this evening to add to the cheering yourself up thread. Hope you all like it.

Hi wind-borne, we all hover towards the reds or at least I do. But the greens especially in Spring are so very fresh, really showing new life.
Your Green Cascade looks great. Thankyou.
