I put several walnuts in the ground last autumn and many of them are now sprouting:

    Persian (A.K.A. Carpathian),
    Butternut, and
    Black Walnut.

Looking to give them to good homes where they can live long and productive lives.

If anybody has a place for one (or more) of them, please contact me.

When digging them up, remember the taproot is about 5 times longer than what's above ground! So dig very, very deep.

Too bad they aren't in pots.

Actually, they are. Five inch peat pots. They are newly-sprouted.
When they get bigger, I put them in 5 gallon planter pots until they find a permanent home.

I am using three pages on my blog (URL in profile) to journal the growth of these trees, for anybody who is curious to follow their progress.

Wish I could take some, but it'd be illegal to send them to Britain. Good luck finding homes!
