Should I sow them directly outside?

Hello all,
Is anyone have the experience grow giant lily from seed?
My friend gave me a giant lily plant in pot months ago.
Could I just sow the seeds in my garden directly after the the seed pods dried?

 

Yes, you could. It is how Nature operates. Growing Lilies from seeds is a very long term endeavor however. There are other ways of propagating Lilies, giving much faster results. You can learn more here: The Lifecycle of a Cardiocrinum giganteum (Giant Himalayan Lily) BTW, are you sure that what you have is a Giant Lily, Cardiocrinum giganteum? Anyhow, it is not a good idea keeping it in a pot, you could and should move it to the garden.

I’ll do that, just Dow them in my garden.
Yes, I am pretty sure it is giant lily and I already plant it in my garden after the seed pots matured.
It brings a surprise that expanded to four bulbs from one when I took them out of the pot.
