    hello all,
My container pot JM is currently doing ok. I bought a soil meter tester to help me to know when to water by measuring the soil wetness. It’s also got a PH measurement. I’m seeing that the soil is in the 8s which from reading it’s too alkaline. Is this ok or should I do something to lower it? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

What kind of soil meter tester do you use? Some cheaper ones are not very accurate. They are still usable, if to calibrate with a reliable tester.

It’s one of those 10$ ones that have moisture light and ph on there. I don’t think it’s accurate but worried that soil might be too alkaline.

That’s exactly the one I have. So don’t worry about it too much? Good to know. Appreciate the comment.

You should not worry too much. My meter is showing pH 7 where pH is ca 6 or even slightly less.
