Can anyone share what years this tree will start to show the rough bark? from graft vs. from seed.
    Thanks.

Hi according to the bible on the subject (vertrees) the bark should appear from the third year or so. Mine is now 2+ years so I’m expecting a partial change this year.

    Thank you, Jeffers.
I got mine from a friend and he said it was from NG seed. The tree is a foot tall probably going to second or third yrs thus I was wondered how long does it take to see the rough bark. Well it may never show if the seed doesn't have a strong cultivar of Nishiki Gawa. I will let you know if it ever shows.
