I am ecstatic that I found someone that is growing these Boswellia Trees in a cold climate. What is your secret? Many people were not able to keep these alive. I have been put off because of all the people saying that it is impossible to grow these outside of a desert. Please do tell why you chose this species is it the Boswellia sacra? are you growing them in a heated green house? Did you grow them from seed? What kind of soil are you using? I am so excited!

What happened to the tenth one of the Frankincense trees ? What interests do you have in these resin tree's? Red Sandlewood and Dracaena draco are a threatened species? For the dracaena draco are these growing any aerial roots this early in the life cycle? How are you producing them, Artificial propagation or by seed? If by seed or propagation what method are you using?

Well,,,,, lol I did have more Boswellia but gave some away to family and lost a bunch of seedlings when I went away for a bit wasn't happy about that , resin tree's are very valuable want to grow them large , also aroma therapy , spiritual incents , infused oils etc. just starting this did my first batch of patchouli oil . As for the Dracaena I did very well on them last year have over 50 + no aerial roots. The Commiphora Neglecta have only 2 very rare only grow on one small hillside in the world but have more than 40 wightii . I like to grow endanger species have many others non resins also trying to help save them make up for all the screw-ups humans cause in the world

I look anywhere I can but don't get discouraged Boswellia seeds have a very low germination rate 3 to 100 sometimes better

    Hello
New to the forum (somewhat). Is the Boswellia Elongata comparable to B. neglecta?
I'm in Port Alberni and curious as to whether I could grow B. neglecta (frankincense tree). I appreciate any suggestions or information regarding finding seeds or obtaining cuttings. Terry, if it works in Powell River, I suspect our blazing hot valley summers would be a good fit.
