At present this window shows up as a title box with upper and left edges in thin grey, and bottom and right edges invisible.

Then there is a band of rich text icons.

The window I'm typing this message in has no visible edges at all.

The Tags window at the bottom is shaded like the subject window.

The rest of the screen is blinding white.

At the top of the screen, the top menu is light blue on dark blue. This works. But the sub menu is white on light blue with a drop shadow. This doesn't work as well

The bread crumb trail (Home > Forums >....) has a good font coloour, but the blue boxes and >'s are hard to see.

Suggestions: Areas completely out of the working area go to a darker colour.

Make text boxes stand out more.

Do not use white as a background anywhere, but use a light pastel.

Colour changes are coming, I'll be able to redirect my attention here very soon--a big project we've been working on for the past year has almost concluded.

How about removing "Local Time" at the bottom of the member information box, too? I really can't understand in what way that information could be relevant to any gardening related topic.

I suggest that you start a different thread for that. It makes it confusing to have more than a single feature request in a thread.

Ain't it though? Like being in a polar blizzard without tinted goggles.

    Glory, hallelujah. Keep hope alive!

How about now? Still have some tweaks, but I think this is easier on the eyes.

Much better. Infinitely better. However for a botanical forum, perhaps replace either the grey in the back ground or the white in the foreground with a pastel green.

I like it fine the way it is. It looks less professional if the colours get too cute. But then, I didn't mind it before, except for the xenForo logo.

While better, there is still not enough contrast between the text boxes and the background.

I think I won't be able to make additional changes re: colours soonish. The colour styling is a bit more complicated than I want to delve into at the moment, given other things I need to be doing for the web site.
