    Hello all,

I posted a few months ago about some yews we planted in April of this year. We bought them from a local grower. We rented a tiller, added some bone meal and watered well over the summer. (I don't know if links are allowed here, but this is the thread: Hedges: - Straggly yews)
They started to look a bit straggly to me but I kept the faith.
Unfortunately in the last two weeks, their colour has started to change....a deep brownish gold starting on the tops; it started with one (the one that got the most sun).
Can anyone offer any insight? I don't see any pests on them.
    Thank you!

Overwatered may be? The soil looks quite wet.

Uncover gently the soil around one of them and check the roots.

    Thank you, Sundrop!

It's dark out now, but I can check the roots tomorrow. Ugh, I'm just heartbroken about them!
As for the watering, I haven't watered them since September, I think. The soil is wet, and it's just all that good BC west coast rain!
