Seedling of Kasagiyama

    Or at least that is how the seeds were labeled when purchased...

    I have one that has a weird growth...

    Have you checked the roots? Could be stress from being pot-bound?

    Keep your eye on this one. Likely to come back with not such weird shaped leaves when the growth settles down in future years, but if you can hang on to that colouration on the new leaves it will be a great plant!

    No, but I was thinking about reporting a few others. Maybe I will take a look at this one also.

    yeah, pretty excited. . I can't wait to see what it does next year. I love the colors!

    Don't forget that the flower on the Kasagiyama was probably germinated by a little bee that had just come from a different acer entirely. That is why acers seldom come true to parent. They will also change considerably during the first years.

    Yeah, I knew that it wouldn't come true to the parent but I didn't expect it to be this? I expected it to be green or burgandy, etc. Pretty plain. But this is interesting. ..
