My mother just moved into a new home. This tree is in the backyard. She wants to get rid of it and people have indicated that it is of value. She would like to post it on Craigslist so that some gardener who would love it could enjoy it. But we don't know what kind of palm it is. Any ideas? A search on Google brought me here - saw that there are close to 3,000 kinds of palm trees!

Definitely a Yucca, not sure about the exact species though.

Yucca schottii? One of the moisture tolerant Yuccas.
