Which magnolia it is?

    Although not blooming right now but can some one guess from the foliage that which species of magnolia it is?

    Looks like Magnolia figo, Banana Shrub. However some of the leaves are larger than the ones on the plants I've seen. Do the flowers have a fragrance of ripe bananas?

    Banana shrub is one of the more common, therefore likely possibilities.
