I was just admiring some of the new growth on my new plants and thought I should get some pictures. Some of these are the first leaves I've seen on these trees. I took a ton but figured I'll just post a few good ones to share. Please add any nice spring pics you have. I'm really starting to love jms in the spring time. I have hogyoku, aconitifolium, seiryu and orange dream coming soon so I look forward to seeing them next year but for now my collection is pretty small. I'm looking for more spring color so like I said, add your own to give me and others good spring tree ideas.
Anyway, here are some of mine:

    Osakazuki, Red Dragon, esk sunset

Sango Kaku, the one is only a year old and has a ton of red. Is that normal for them when they are young or will it always look different than the other one?

Burgundy flame(no one seems to of heard of it but can't beat $30 for a tree this size and I really like the spring color compared to my other reds), Hoopsi blue spruce with Emperor 1 behind it, Ryusen

I'll add Autumn Moon and Gwens rose delight when they get some leaves (can't wait!) and more of Osakazuki and Esk Sunset once the leaves mature a little more. Neither one look like pictures I've seen of them so far.

Beautiful! Mind sharing what they are? I'm pretty new to this so I still have a hard time identifying a lot of them.

Love all the pink, who needs flowers! I need to add some with pink. Right now the only one I have is Gwens Rose delight and she's got no leaves yet :-(

Aureum is on the top of my list but I found the Autumn moon at Menards of all places so I grabed the closest thing I could get my hands on. I have a spot for two Aureums leading into my path, I just need to save up for them because I want them to have some size right from the get go.

Great pics guys, can't wait to see some more.

Hi, yours is variegated but it's a little hard to tell on young sycamore leaves that are a subset of the 'atropurpureum' group, as opposed to one like Leopoldii. Wait for it, it will wow you very soon. ;)

Sorry Rufretic, everything's got a windswept and rain-soaked look right now, don't look attractive.Hopefully the weather will settle down next week....here's a little Orido Nishiki catching some (rare)sun...plus a couple more earlybirds

All are great pictures! ! ! Thanks for sharing!

Rwinktown I really like the rainy day pictures. There is something about the rain that enhances the colors that are normally hidden by the suns glare. I also like to snap early morning pictures after an overnight thunderstorm. Everything looks so clean and fresh. Capturing the water droplets on leaves always makes a good picture in my opinion.

They all look attractive to me! I love your choices to post, 3 of the 5 are on my "to get list" Orido Nishiki, Shishigashira and Shin Desiojo. The Shin Desiojos color looks really nice in that picture.

Cheers Rufetic, the choice wasn't really mine, they're the trees that are more advanced and so have avoided the battering more.Actually my Shindeshojos are fading now, they were amongst the first to leaf out this year.Everyone will attest to the stand out qualities of this cultivar I'm sure but sadly the weather is often too bad here to sit out there and enjoy it.It's my first spring with the Shishigashira,I was pleasantly surprised by the bright green spring foliage.I'm hoping the As Aureum behind it will emerge in time to double the effect though it's the furthest behind of all my maples this year.
