    It is interesting that it mentions the problem for the eastern Black Walnut as being no real problem for the western Arizona Walnut where as the article states:
    But then something happened to bring the beetle and fungus east:
    As usual, there is that human factor that causes the problem in the first place. This goes along with an article not long ago about the reasons behind most of the invasive species problems experienced in North America.
