Identification: Lichens or mushrooms?

    I found these in the yard today. They were both growing on logs. The one with the long, dark 'feelers' is very soft to touch and leaves a rusty powder on your fingers. Please help ID them for me.

    #1 is a slime mould in the spore-producing stage.

    I agree with Michael F., and I think it is a Stemonitis.

    Dry fibrous orangy stuff on a log is actually sort of ringing a faint bell. So far the ideas I'm mostly rejecting in my head are; dried out moss (but a closer shot would be helpful to confirm), Pycnoporus/porellus (looks more fibrous than fungal), a corticioid/polyporoid resupinate fungus (can't see a structure or pores that matches specimens I've seen so far), Trentepohlia the orange alga that partners in lichen but which is sometimes found by itself (looks too 3-D). Thinking thinking.... Ideas anyone?
