Does anybody have a link to a site where I could see, in a map, the natural distribution of Japanese maples?
I have tried to find that info but have not been very successful.

Hi Gomero, I think I can help, not a website but a pdf of a paper.

"A Dendrological Study on the Japanese Aceraceae, with Special Reference to the Geographical Distribution" (1965) by Ken Ogata can be downloaded from here: http://repository.dl.itc.u-tokyo.ac.jp/dspace/handle/2261/22990

Has 30 maps with the distribution of different species and subspecies.

Great Maf, this is it, thank you. At last I get a copy of the classical Ogata article.
