Anyone getting any new seeds this late winter? I've been getting seed catalogues up a hoop in the mail recently.

Not gonna go too nuts this year, as I have so many seeds from trades that I want to enjoy, but I will definitely place an order or two.

J.L. Hudson's new 2010 catalog this year looks so great. He's in California, which normally I frown on ordering from the States when I'm in Canada, but this guys seeds are gold, to me.

I got some very special "Sacred Lotus" Nelumbo seeds from him once - among other special beauties.

Sowing more and more seeds, each week. I want to get stuff ready super early this year. I need over 20 geraniums for this one super long garden, so I want to get those started no later that Feb 10th...

I see so many things that i would like, but then reality hits, and its more like, where am i going to put that.

So like you Sherry, i will most likely order a couple new things, but thats it.

Of course, we say we will only order a few Penny, but just wait until we see all those gorgeous tempting pictures in the magazines - intoxicated by all the lovely blooms and buds...

You know as well as I do that we will both end up ordering way too many and then some!

Who could help themselves, with all those glossy colorful photos, when everything is so drab outside?!! Good luck Penny - not ordering more than you need...

LOL@ Sherry.......i know, i know............its so hard to decide.

 

I have a love hate relationship with all those lovely seed catalogs. I want to try everything and just can't afford it. I got some lovely tomato seeds in trade last year and I can't wait to grow them. I have to keep telling myself, "No more tomato seeds, you have enough!" :)

 

LOL, me too, Jan. But what I have working in my favour is that most seed catalogs won't ship to me. It helps, because I've got really poor impulse control when it comes to plants....

 

I hear you guys...I am like a kid in a candy store...and want it all!

Thought Jan's comment about love/hate was hilarious, and describes it to a tee! I am in fear of just how much I might spend this year! It could be scary...

The last couple of trades that i have done, i have just asked that the person "surprise" me, with whatever they send.........its been fun so far.
