    Well that really kept you busy for at least 5 secs! Had a feeling it would just be too easy for you!!!!

    Yes, it could well be the same tree! It was taken on Sunday at Westonbirt.
    The National Arboretum U.K.
    We do have one in the garden but have never seen any seeds on it.

    For those that have never come across this Dipteronia sinensis it is in the same family as Acers. Aceraceae.

    I feel it is you, that keeps me on my toes! Thanks for the update.

    I checked the RHS Plantfinder 2009-2010 before I posted. It still shows it as Aceraceae!

    It is Xanthoceras which is the troublemaker here - it is less closely related to the rest of Sapindaceae than Dipteronia, etc., are.
