    Lol, ShearMe!

    : O

Better be careful, or you might be my next captive! Hahahaha.

I have never had pepper seeds sprout in less than a week before, Penny. Usually takes 10 days, at least. I sowed them on Aug. 11th, and they sprouted yesterday, Aug 17th! That's 6 days!!!!! Wow.

Plus today, my Purple Pepper and my Numex Twilight are up today! Here's shots of how they will look later...

    : )

Yet another one sprouting today is my Fish pepper (heirloom) hot pepper! Here's how the fruits look just before they ripen red.

Notice the leaves are white and green?!!!...

It must be all of this super hot weather, Penny, that's making my pepper seeds germinate so quickly! I am so pleasantly surprised.

    By the way...

Has anyone ever used matchsticks in their pepper's soil? Apparently, peppers like the sulphur. I've been adding them for years now and you have seen how nice my capsicum plants turn out!

I also like to keep my pepper plants showered regularily, to keep mites and other bugs away. I especially like to keep my indoor peppers showered because they are more prone to infestation than my outdoor ones.

Does anyone else have a sunny windowsill, and like to grow peppers over Fall and Winter?...

    Also:

If anyone ever comes across this type of hot pepper - I will kill you for it!

    : O

Just teasing of course, but I want it real bad.

    "Black Prince"...

    Ok...

here is my Mystery pepper for this season. It was labelled as purple cayenne, but it definitely is not!

    : O

The fruits begin dark green then blush with black/purple, then finally red. It grows in my living room window. The blossoms are white with purple/violet edging.

Wonder what it is, but I like it...

    : )

P.S. Hope you guys don't mind all these posts, but I told you it was a thread for hot pepper-a-holics who just can't get enough! At least it is peppers I am addicted to, and not crack!

Those are some absolutely gorgeous shots, Blake! Just what I love to see. How incredibly ornamental they are.

    : O

They remind me of my Aurora type, but just different shaped fruits. I must send you seeds for them.

YOU WOULD?!!! I would die to have them. Do you see how blue they are?!!! OMG. If I ever get them, I'll be sure to share - not to worry.

Ok, gotta go stare at your chilly chili peppers some more. Soooooo beautiful. Thank you for posting them here, Blake.

    By the way...

Are those 2 different kinds of pepper varieties, Blake? The purple ones look like a different shape than the others...

I think I just answered my own question after looking more closely at your shots...

The fruits start out purple and then grow longer and pointier, then change to yellow, then orange, then red. Is this correct, Blake?...

Some are small, some are longe, some are bumpy and some are fat. So I guess cross Pollination?? The purple ones are more rare than the red, and red is common. But I guess they are the same varietie.

    Edit:
Out of 19 plants I have 2 purple.

You Blake, or anyone else, may feel free to list the varieties they possess, so that we can all compare out lists.

Do you have Aurora, Blake? It is one gorgeous beauty...

*the other purple is so far staying purple-

*the red start out pale then go to a orangey color then to a red.

Can't wait to try them, Blake. I intend on sowing some of the seeds as soon as they arrive!

    : O

All this talk about purple peppers has made me want to see some up-close and personal - so I went outside and dug up one of the three potted Aurora's to bring inside with me. Aurora is my all-time favorite pepper for ornamental beauty.

The fruits start out bright fluorescent purple, then turn to light mauve, then white, cream, yellow, orange, and finally red. The peppers all change at different times, so it's a rainbow of colors until frost.

Anyway, here is my young little plant, ready to put on a crop...

    : )

P.S. Yes, I will send ya some seeds, for sure. You will just love this variety, Blake.

Very exciting - more peppers are germinating tonight...

I've already shown 'Tobasco' on page 2 - it's up tonight as well! Yippeeee!
Plus My Jimmy Nardello has germinated, which technically speaking is a sweet pepper! It looks so much like hot red cayenne that it's hard to believe it's sweet! Here's pics...

I couldn't help but sow seeds for several more varieties this evening!

    ~ Explosive Ignite
    ~ Friggitello
    ~ Purple Violetta
    ~ Prairie Fire

Could find pictures for all of them except Purple Violetta. They appear in the order they're listed...

    : )

P.S. More Black Pearl seeds from the other lady, are popping as well!
