I'm needing red wigglers to repopulate my worm composter. For some reason the original batch of worms have disappeared.

If you have friends with compost bins you could offer to turn the compost and divide off their worm colony. I did some digging for you (no pun intended). The Langley Environmental Partners website refers to the City Farmer website....check out their websites. These are Vancouver worm farmers.

    Prices of Worms:
    In general 1 lb.= $35.

You could contact the Compost Hotline, (604) 736-2250. They promote and educate on composting and may have worms to sell. You could call a place that sells fishing licenses - maybe 3 Vets on Yukon & 5th - and ask if they sell worms.

I got a worm composter from Langley Environmental Partners who partner with the Township of Langley to educate and sell worm composters which come with special tiny wriggler worms. You could cal them too. Phone: 604-532-3511
