    Hi,
I'm unfortunately in plantID trouble again... :((( But I hope someone can ID this bizarre carrot-like object... :) (Fockea???) And it's companion: this amazing little orange flower ball (Ericaceae at least?!)

(Sorry, but no more pics and infos about the plants, because these are also not my pics, just somebody asked me (me too) for an ID... so they are international wanted plants!!! :)

    Thanks!!!
    Lila

Wonderful. Something only a mother could love.

Some of these caudiciforms come from Madagascar. Could it be Zygosicyos tripartitus or Xerosicyos pubescens? I suggest checking out my friends at TooBees Exotics who have specialized in these kind of things for many years. Email the pic & see if they will help you with an ID. www.toobees.com

    Just a thought.

Orange one - Erica verticillata or E. cerinthoides? Sort of looks like a "heath".

    Just another thought.

I am reminded of Jabba the Hutt. Perhaps this is a transplant from the planet Varl, homeworld of the Hutts. More than likely, a Huttlet escaped from the pouch.

As Robin, the Boy Wonder, might say: "Holy Titanic Tuber, Batman!!!"

My first thought was also E. cerinthoides, but I think it looks a bit different... :( But thanks! Next idea? :)

OK, OK, shoot me down! I still think it could be an Erica sp. or Var.

The tuber from outer space is another matter entirely. You may wish to check out this site to see what you are into:
