My roomate picked this tree up for our apartment, but we have no idea how to take care of it nor what kind of plant it is. Please help us identify what it is :) Thanks,
It likes bright light but NOT too much direct sun. A little morning sun is ok which will keep the colors bright. It will tolerate low light, but it won’t thrive. Let the soil dry out between waterings and then soak it but don't let it sit in any of the drained water.
My Dracaena is in full sun as per pic, although if that particular plant has been in filtered light for most of its life it won't handle full sun initially, you would have to give it more sun gradually (if thats what you want to do). Ed
If you let it grow in the ground, one day it will give you flowers which are very fragrant, thus the fragans. We also call this fortune plant because you are very fortunate to have this plant which is a low maintenace to us. We just let it grow even without fertilizer.
