Hello all, I would like to plant a couple of fruit trees in my back yard. There is lots of sunshine and it faces west. I also live in St. Albert outside of Edmonton and the temperature in winter occasionally drops to -30C and -40C with a wind. Thank you in advance for helping me out. Jill

I used to live in Edmonton, and here's what I grew:

'Spye' and 'Jonagold' apples (both of which I bought at Holes, which is a wonderful resource)
    'Pembina' plums
A type of heirloom hardy apricot, which was already established when I moved into the house, and unfortunately I have no clue what it was.

I was also able to grow Kiwi 'Issai' if you're interested in fruiting vines....
