i've inherited this plant from work.. we've always referred to it as a corkscrew palm. i brought him home (we've named him brutus) and pruned him up.. his stalk seems a lot more like a yucca to me. the leave are about two and a half feet long with pretty large and evil red thorns running along both edges AND the underside of the spine.. also, the leaves are growing in a spiral or corkscrew pattern. any pointers would be great help, thanks!
