Hello, I live in North Carolina, and I'm trying to locate a supplier that I can purchase Wolf River apples for making home made apple butter. I have tried searching on the internet with no results. I'm hoping someone could help. Also, if not able to recommend a supplier, then could someone recommend a replacement apple for the Wolf River apples?

You want the trees, or the fruits?

For a tree, look up St. Lawrence Nurseries' website (Potsdam, NY).

    For fruit, try applesource.com

I bought Wolf River apples From Jerry Harvey at the Watauga County Farmers Market 3 days ago. They are beautiful and have made a delicious rosey pink applesauce that needs no added sugar. You can get contact information, learn if he ships, and locate other vendors who may have Wolf River apples from: www.wataugacountyfarmersmarket.org. Once at the site go to "email webmaster" to register your question. I have always gotten prompt replies. The website lists Bill Moretz as having Wolf River, Gold apples, too. These delicious apples are grown on small, family farms around Boone, NC as are all products sold at the market.
