    Hello
How do you care for a Winterberry Plant? I received a large ring of Winterberry with a candle in the middle for Christmas. I am getting alot of brittle leaves. It has really gone down hill in a short time. Any input would be appreciated. The best to you in 2008.

Ilex verticillata is a hardy eastern native deciduous shrub, if your plant has leaves on it it would appear to be something else. At any rate brittle leaves suggests a problem with watering. Outdoor plants used in holiday planters may be hard to keep going indoors for very long, same as living Christmas trees.

This is definitely a complete living plant, with roots growing in soil, and not a ring of preserved(?) cut branches stuck into a support?
