    Winery plans to chop down California redwoods to make room for vineyards

    Hmmmm, maybe Canada will become even bigger as far as wine growing

    We have our own issues in Canada (at least in British Columbia). The wine-making industry here in the province is primarily sited in one of Canada's 3 most endangered ecosystems, sagebrush steppe. It is increasingly difficult to balance conservation with the pressure to expand the industry.
